I don't know about the poster....fit people full of exuberance & life being portrayed as something from "the day of the dead" ?
...but good graphics :)

I see....didn't realise that aspect
"The stretch of water is also known as the Channel of Bones for its centuries old reputation for having claimed the lives of many, including ancient canoe fleets and modern-day fisherman and watermen. At a depth of 701 meters or 2,300 feet, ocean currents and varying swell heights are squeezed through the two islands creating turbulent water conditions."

The solo SUP division title will probably be between: Scott Gamble / Connor Baxter / Dave Kalama / Livio Menelau. All of those guys will be paddling unlimited boards.

If there's really light conditions then Kai Lenny (14') and Andrew Logreco (14' or maybe even 12'6"...) could come into it.

Connor was sick and skipped the Naish race last weekend, so he might not be in top form. Here's my top six for the solo SUP division:

1st: Scott Gamble
2nd: Dave Kalama
3rd: Connor Baxter
4th: Kai Lenny
5th: Livio Menelau
6th: Andrew Logreco

Who else wants to make a bold prediction??
