What do you do. .Good on you for approaching him. I just surfed away . Felt bad for the surfers .surprised they didn't say anything as they are a lot less manouverable and were stuck with him.i hope he reads this and has a think it's just surfing not worth hurting a fellow surfer theres always more waves.

Yeah whats the go with that! There's 2 young blokes just started going out the alley over the last 2 months, no leg ropes. Seen them lose their boards regularly. Obviously egos outway ability. Not sure what the reason is for no legrope, they're cheap enough!

anyone surfing a sup with out a leggie should be smacked around their head with there own paddle until they swear never to do it again.same goes to the mal riders who think they are too cool for leggies, they should be hit over the head with their over priced retro mals

Haha, I heard a guy riding a 10 ft log the other day say to his mate that his leggie caused drag so he didn't use one.... I was laughing so hard on the inside it nearly came out...

love to see em do a downwinder without one!!! why detach yourself from a vessel that keeps you afloat and put other people at risk shoreside.

A comment i heard from young bloke at alley when I questioned him 'surfs only small' one wave later he fell off on the bottom turn and had to swim into the beach!

How much drag can a leg rope cause? Ive never noticed it while Ive been surfing. And if you do come off beats swimming after your board with a paddle in your hand.

Perth beaches are more & more crowded these days. Don't get why anyone would surf without a leg rope, even short boarders. If you go out fur a surf consider others & wear a leg rope. Trying to swim back to your board with a paddle in your hand is hard enough. I would hate you see my SUP go though a line up at trigg point taking out other water users, imagine the carnage one would do to a 11 year old on a softie.

You don't yo-yo without a string why would you SUP without one?

I even believe people should hang on to there boards more. Harder for 666's but paddling out surfers just chuck there boards with no regard to who's around. Look first if you cant duck dive is say[}:)]

And if you cant stay out of the water.

Everyone will get caught a few times and i'm not that impatient but when you surf with guys who do it ever wave it gets crazy. I asked a guy the other day if it was his idea of clearing the water

And before someone jumps in i stay away when paddling out. But when someone paddles faster than you up the inside gets next to you and chucks his board, thats not cool

A couple of weeks ago I saw a SUP surfing in a very crowded spot (Trigg 3rds) and he was very lucky a couple of times he didnt hit other people.

Even with a leggie they are more of a danger than any other craft in the water.

But Sups are are a much larger craft so shouldn't the short boarders give way then ?
Just like boats on the waterways.
