Amazing times by many tonight. Ryan will post the official sheet latter. Incredible effort by Beau and Trev. Both smashing the Lake records and going under 25 minutes.

Beau averaged 10.26 km/h and Trev 10.18km/h. Never thought we would see this.

Certified time on two clocks. Have to wait for the official time posting and leader board.

Thank you and I appreciate your post. I was explaining to my children today what an "antagonistic attention seeker" is and how though they have every right to an opinion, lack the common sense to keep it to them self and like to caste a negative slur on others interest.

Thank you for giving me an example.

Yeah ok point taken. Wasn't trying to be an attention seeker. Just my opinion, paddling round a man made duck pond seems pretty f^#king boring that's all. Oh sorry that was probably negative.

Great speeds indeed - young Dylan Frick blitzed our local 3km course tonight in 17:55 - that's 10.05km/h and no-one in South Africa had to date gone over the 10km/h mark on any flatwater paddle. He would probably go faster if only he has someone to push him....we couldn't even stay on his wash (yes we allow it)...

There was no wind nor current, as it's held in a closed canal.

Amazing that you guys cracked the 10km/h on the same night!

Think Beau was on a Starboard sprint 14'25" and Trev on a Sprint 14'24". Great times and despite some negative comments, doing the time trials is a great way to improve and test yourself for anyone racing SUP.

Those Starboard Sprint boards are bloody quick in flat water and in the hands of two exceptional paddlers like Beau and Trev, that's the sort of result you get. Well done lads.

As for paddling around a duck pond, I suggest it's more enjoyable than being stuck in front of a computer posting flames on Seabreeze but to each his own.

Yeah but typing one-handed is quite a skill [}:)]

Sensational times and a fantastic setting...I'd love to come last up there one day on that magnificent flat water

And what's that young bloke going to be like when he's fully grown??

Very true. With Trev being just 15 it is amazing to think what he might achieve in the next 10 years.

Beau's time was 24:47 and Trevor's 24:59. The distance is 4.24km.
