Well there is no competition between these 2 lol.

Kristi now has to earn every wave she gets even in this sort of slop, you just have to look at the determination on Nesha's face!

Lots of fun was had by all

Oh and apparently Chicks Rule at OG!

Hey Brooko,

I am just pleased that Kristi is having so much fun thats what counts!

She surfed small beacon with Rich and I the other day and was just the most full on stoked out grom of all time afterwards.

Since Mambo she has just gone from strength to strength. DJ letting her go on the downwinder was a huge thing for her because she was accepted as one of the crew. Small things can make a huge difference.

Lummers, Rich, Dean, Dave Boyd, Matty M, Revvin, DJ and many many others have been so helpful, supportive and very generous with their time and knowledge to help Kristi and Nesha.

We are very lucky.

Phill

Hey Matt,

Kristi beat me to the bridge the first time ever the first night and cut 2 mins off my best time beating me home by a min.

The following night she still beat me we both went flat out and cut another 2 mins of the time.

Very very happy with the result.

In the surf the shorter paddle produces tighter arcs and has really improved her back hand surfing.

She threw a lovely little mini goatie bucket on the back hand this morning and got a big cheer from the crew.

She is totally stoked!

Hey DJ,

Just for you! This is an example of how the shorter paddle allows the kids to slalom around the obsticles in the summer.

We are waiting for some serious juice, to see what that board can really do. Yesterday morning was a 15 - 20kn easterly cross shore so Nesha had some serious problems just standing up but she has her blocking technique down pat to keep Kristi honest.

I had 12 girls come up to me on the board walk yesterday morning while I was shooting wanting to know who they were and how long they have been Supping. How hard was it, what were good boards.

More capable women Supping in the line up I'd like to see that!

I dont think we will make it this year Dogman, the planets at this point are not going to align.

Kristi wants to go and the 8.0 banana will fit in a bagage locker so who knows!

I would want to se the sup format as well, last year was a little wierd.

Wow-they're doing great for their age!

I have 3 girls: 10 (nearly 11) - 8 (nearly 9) and 5 (nearly 6). 2 older ones are very keen surfers (the 8 is really good-been very successful already in comps) and the youngest a mad little booger.

Good on em'!

Hey Locco,

I think its great that they just want to have ago.

Nesha is going from strength to strength especially in the last few weeks her confidence is way up.

We still need to find the right board for Niki, she did well in small waves on the Starboard 7.2 but it was way way too much volume. The DC 8.0 is a fantastic board but not enough width with her skill level.

Rich, Dean, Revvin etc will tell you Kristi has been out surfing with us when some guys have just decided to stay on the sand and she definitely the only girl / woman out.

She came out at Damiens a couple of times when the faces were at least 7 ft maybe more and loves late take offs that as a dad make me shudder when I watch.

Kristi is better in bigger surf than she is in the slop we have been getting lately.

When the swell is up I will post some pics or vid.

Phill
