Third time's a charm for Jake next weekend at the Great Melbourne Paddle? Splitting Dave and Sam is no mean feat. We might need to tether him to the Spirit of Tasmania just to keep up.

From the full results on supracer, it looks like there were 19 sups all up, 16 guys and 3girls.

It's a pity the race fell on the same weekend as Merimbula as quite a few guys and girls who regularly race in Sydney were down here for the weekend.

Looks like you guys finally got some awesome downwind conditions for a race this year. Congrats Dave for edging out the young whipper snapper in a close race! Also congrats to Neelie, 9th overall and easily taking out the women's. If you haven't heard of her already, then don tforget the name - Neelie is super strong and definitely one to watch for in the future!

Congrats to Kissa and Neelie. Would have loved to have raced with you but as you know alot of the regulars were in Merimbula...doing multiple downwind laps between Merimbula and Pambula. We maxed out at 27 boards on the trailer and paddlers from Qld, NSW, Vic, WA and SA all charging downwind together.. A big shout out to John from the Central Coast who supplied beers and oysters when we were picked up in Pambula.

Disappointed to miss such a great race in sydney but good reason this time.
