Has anyone here used a Kettlebell?

They look like a great workout that may help your SUP fitness.

Swinging one into your knee-cap = not so good for SUP fitness.

You could swing it about while standing on an Indoboard and get a super sup workout.

More seriously, I think swinging weights around is a good way to hurt yourself. The essence of weight training is resistance and control. Adding momentum takes away both those elements.

loved the 2nd vid too.. :)

I have noticed that suppin trims one up very nicely - seen a few puds evaporate after a few months on a SUP. i reckon SUP would be hard to beat for an all over work out.

so ...why the need for gay ass kettlebells? The only thing i can think of thats more lame is rollerblading in lycra in public with a headband, sweatbands on the wrist and kettlebells on the go .

hey dj i have done some training with KBs and they rock. you can easily substitute a KB with a dumbell, however you will not get the same effect with the longer lever of the KB. Try some turkish getups to strenghten your core.
