I see he hasn't got anything scheduled until 1pm on Sat 10th perhaps he could shoot over to Perth for an AM paddle.

He could paddle in the SUP 5000 on Saturday morning.

Kai's impending visit seems to have turned a bunch of middle aged men into One Direction fans. And yes, I'm all weak at the knees too.

No i diidnt grow up surfing ( so what), but someone has to take his mantle and why not a kid who rides big waves , kites , 2 x sup world champ now distance world champ.He does it all just like Laird.

the kid also paddles OC's and windsurfs to a world class level.
If you measure his talent on comp results, he has already knocked off laird.

There will never be another Laird, what he has done in surfing
(I mean all disciplines) from his Pipe-Backdoor days, prone paddling to the invention of tow surfing and the performance levels he reached will unlikely be repeated, let alone the standup paddling he's done in the last 10-12 years
I have the upmost respect for Kai as an all-round waterman but he is only 18-19 and has a way to go to be Bigger an Better than Laird, even with world titles sorry if I have offended any Kai fans no disrespect intended.
