I get stoked surfing with short boarders!!
Not the throngs that descend in summer, or the weekend warriors, but the guys I grew up with and more often these days, the kids of the guys I grew up with. If someone is shredding the vibe is infectious and you find yourself pushing that bit harder.
The bloke I am surfing with in this clip, yesterday arvo, is KB. His old man used to be the lighthouse keeper round these parts and he has lived his life in, on and around the water. One of those classic salty dogs that you can find in most coastal towns around the country. Couldnt begin to count the number of surfs we have shared at this little sand bar reef combo since we were kids but needless to say I wish I had been paid for each and all in currency apart from stoke.
Hav'nt seen KB for a while cos he has a Balinese wife and kid and spends a fair percentage of each year in Indo. Reckon you can see a little of the Ulu's influence in his down the line style. Bottom line is he stills shreds like a grom and he pushes as hard now as he did when he was eighteen.
Have'nt filmed this spot before so the angles are all wrong, sorry and better to take the HD option.

Loved it.... wave after wave.... dancing across the screen.
At about 2:25 you cut about 1 second of footage out... I would have like to see that roll through without a cut. You both get good consecutive waves. First time I watched it, I didn't notice the cut actually.
