Find the format:
In windows explorer, go to tools, folder options. A frame will pop up with General, View and Search tabs. Go "View". In the "Advanced settings" scroll box you'll see "Hide extensions for known file types" ticked. Untick that, click ok and you should be able to see the file format after that.

They have pretty flexible software, but if have been able to rip the disc and still can't upload it, use a program called Format Factory to change the format to flash (.flv) and then upload it
