JP pro board came with a single footstrap. Never used it as never figured out if it was meant for surfing or windsurfing. It seemed to the be in the wrong place for either. Sold board now but wondering if anyone ever used the footstrap and how it went.
Are you sure you mean a footstrap, or do you mean a footstrap insert (hole) in the board? In which case, it is only an insert to screw a mast base on for windsurfing.
" All the boards come with a mast-foot insert to attach a windsurf rig" - http://jp-australia.com/2017/sup/products/hard-boards/surf/
JP board come with a mast base insert hole, two foot strap insert hole and a single foot strap. Different screw threads same as windsurf board. When i bought the board new in 2012 the shop told me Jason P surfs with a single footstrap hence why added to the model but I've never believed it as so poorly positioned.
Jason went through a stage back then when he was using a single foot strap on his sup surfing board (to help with getting airs etc) and I guess he thought that others might want to do the same and put the option on their production boards.

Yeah that's right Jason Polakow (JP) was always a windsurfer and used to straps , even though the Sup boards have his name he was never a serious supper and thought the front strap would help , Im guessing the board model is pre 2012 it was phased out very quickly but that board would be a good foil option now.
Well his front ankle must of snapped at some point as Strap inserts were running straight along the centre line. No angle. Sure its a marketing idea
