The rails look interesting, I wonder how they would go?

The step deck , high performance rail design and still keeping the literage up in the middle Bnaccas is right it would be tippy......

My Laguna's rails are pretty low profile but it just has a rolled deck. I actually think this is less unstable in bumpy conditions as the chop is not bouncing off the fat rails.

I reckon the theory of fat rails = stability is somewhat flawed.

Ive found more on the boards.

They have a heap of volumne relative to the width, with over 5 inches of foam in the middle.

They have a 7 footer with 117 litres for the " Ninja Monkeys".
Its 7’ x 28 1/2” x 5 1/16” - 116.3 ltr

Reminiscent of and possibly a descendant of the 10 ft bonga perkins step rail but certainly a more sophisticated looking design.....looks sexy (course it still looks bloo%dy tippy also)

Jim at tropical blends spoke about this theory of a step deck being really stable if the rails are under water as the 'weight' of the water on top of the rail holds it down. Less bounce as Goatie said.

I feel like extreme rocker on my 9 9 may help stability as well with the tail and nose out of the water and the centre under water. Seems really stable might be a similar principle or it could be my imagination :-)
