ok, this is not a brand vrs brand post but I would choose my 14' Naish

I love surfing it, when no one else is around - only cause I can't control it yet, it's a terrific downwinder in the bay and it's good for getting you from a to b in flat water.

i just can't imagine having one board to try and surf well on and still do all the other stuff on especially if you are used to surfing a sub 9' board

Probably 14' Naish.... tough call though ....

Does it all, distance, down wind, and surf.... But I have thoughts of shaping a 12'6 to do it all... a cross between the Naish 12 & 14....

only one board????

Probably the 10' Mana. Easy, surf's well, can take my kids paddling on it, decent for distance.

But I'd never only have a one board quiver!

I guess it depends on your expectations of surfing, if all you want to do is trundle down the line then any big ass board would do!

If you want to have some fun, prone surfing, SUP, draw big flowing lines, cutbacks, ride 6 inch ripples, paddle flat water, surf OH+ as well as DW and double as a tandem board then the Laird 12 would be my go to board.

It needs a handle and a quiver caddy but once its in the water it charges.

Agree with OG that the Laird 12' is a good board but reckon that PearsonArrows/Laird 10'6" would be a good un. Still not seen any on our shores but would like to have a go on one.

I think something around 10' range would do for me for small or big days.

Good to see so many people choosing 14 foot boards, was thinking that ordering one was a mistake cause I would only use it for downwinders
