I an't a gun but it's still fun.
I certainly am not a gun down winder but the best thing about this sport is mere mortals can get out and have a crack at it and get the same stoke as the pro's.

Filthy watching this clip now the first glide I wish I didn't sit back and enjoy the one glide, I should of pushed hard as that pocket that formed in front was deep and would of linked up so good.
Really enjoying using a GoPro now to watch back and learn from each run I do.

I'm not a gun either but who cares.. btw.. thanks for not wearing a G string with that camera angle..

Those look like great DW conditions and I have a tip for you.. Try and move your front foot over slightly to the center line and the move your back foot across to the center as well and try and do it before catching the glide so if you need to you can shuffle slightly forward and back to trim the board to get the longest glide..

It's not easy and it's something I'm continually working on.. The 'guns' seem to be able to do this well..

I reckon you're probably getting more stoke out of it than most of the guns, who are so wound up about winning every time they hit the water that they aren't able to enjoy it as much as you do.

Haha we don't wear G Strings in brissy, can't say they don't on the GC though

This was pretty messy northerly conditions actually for the bay that day.
I agree re the foot placement, was first time out down winding on the falcon on this run in a couple months.
got 3 runs in since and noticed my foot placement and work improved greatly compared to this run. Amazing when regularly paddling how much you improve on the little things.
