I am about to purchase a new board, Being sub vector
I am a little stuck on the aplication of the 9'6 ? Is this just a big wave type board

Where the 9'3 is a all round fish type take anywhere board

I was going to get a naish 9'6 But have set my mind on the sub vectors

If you always surf ankle to chest high waves then the 9.3 will be the board for you. If you always surf waist high or better then the 9.6 will suit you better. The 9.3 is an amazing board in grovelly beachies and Yes it's kinda a fishy feeling sup - well as fishy as a sup can feel anyway. HOWEVER - try a sub vector before you buy one - Yes I know this is true of any board, but it is especially true with the sub v's. I am not trying to put you off because I absolutely love the 9.3 but trust me, they aren't for everyone.

Yea, it does sound like 9'6 is the new 9'3

Ankle to chest high it verry limited, But then if the 9'6 is to refined for ankle to waist beach breaks it also is a limited surfer

Thanks for your ummm waste of time comment, But in nz we dont have used boards at most you may see 2 boards in a yr that may be ok
