Hi guys I've just bought a 10ft surf style board and I have a Commodore ute and I'm just wondering on the best way to transport it without getting damage! I was going to get a pool noodle and put that over the tail inside the bag but was wondering on what I should use to protect the board from the tailgate? Towel? TIA

A folded beach towel drapped over the tailgate under the board bag is ok.

I assume you have tailgate up and latched? End of board in front corner of tray and board up over tailgate? Board tied down near tailgate to stop moving about?

Another option is going to a foam and rubber shop and getting some round hollow foam rubber, cut a slit down it so you can open it and put over tail gate.

if your using a pool noodle already just cut one in half and put it over the tailgate, i have seen some tailgate pads before on ebay or somewhere, a quick internet search if you wanted a proper one

Get one roof rack bar on the roof and one Thule ute rack in the end of the tray.
