Got this puppy yesterday. Took it for a spin this morning, against some excellent race boards.
Not going to go into detail to long & do a review. That will come after a few more test rides.

Do yourself a favour and test ride this 12'6 SIC!! Def a very highly competitive race board.

And yes it will be at Roar Currumbin's Demo day.

Nice lookin board, concave decks are really comming on now. Im going try and shape a shortboard with one to see how it goes.

Im guessing that the concave makes them more stable?

I reckon concave decks are more stable and more comfortable to stand on. I have them on an SUP. The stability helps with paddling but the board has big fat rails which are definately harder to bury on a turn. I've never seen a surfboard with concave deck but usually stepped decks which add volume but keep the rails thin. I'm sure there are others way more qualified than me to comment on these design concepts. If you shape one, I'd love to see the pics and hear how it goes.

Ive got an idea for a fish type of board but not a split tail type, more of a fat/round tail with a lowish rocker with a concave deck.

Murray Burton has done a few and I like the look if them

Its going to be a project over summer so I will take heaps of pics

whoa, had a little session on this board. it really likes wave/ runners, almost hunts them. it's wide nose is very clean through whitewater and waves. the dihedral that follows the nose deck curve works well

it's a blast to surf on. very responsive and good feel for this type of board. all and all a fine board from sic
cheers
