Ahh good old Mahia - been a while since I have been there. Is Last Chance still accessible these days? I miss the late take off by the rocks at Pt Annihilations. Fun wave that one! How about around your way - is the Island a good wave on a SUP? Or do the local crew not let ya paddle out that way on one?

Its not fair that you show us the swell you are getting as we are getting nothing here in Sydney but crowds. Hope you manage to snake a few.......

Hey Ted sorry to hear you in Sydney with crowds. Come back to paradise quick.
Must confess though been surfing for more than 40 years am not a Mahia expert. Have surfed Blacks, boat harbour & a few other spots but am a "paddle out in the dark" person & get heaps of uncrowded waves without travelling.
But some of the other stand up people have been keen to mount a Mahia expedition so maybe it will come together this weekend.
Because I'm fairly well known in the area & don't like surfing in crowds haven't encountered too much anti-sup stuff....but some people have got an attitude for sure.

May I compliment our Kiwi bros on the quality of current Seabreeze input from across the ditch. I miss BP but he rarely posted anything sane.

I think all of us miss BP......he always had something entertaining/controversial/colourful to say about things he had lots of ideas about

you know its a bad time over here when the east coast of Auckland is getting more waves than us...stop rubbing it in!!
