I heard a rumour that the glides and the 9'3" arrived today. Hanging to pick mine up tomorrow.

Scotty, we are going to get photos from angles we didn't even know existed when DJ gets his glide tomorrow or Friday.

yep, JB is right, they landed today, and many were shipped out straight away. shops in the east coast capital cities should have boards at some point tomorrow and the outliers for the weekend.
unfortunately i didnt get a chance to do happy snaps but hoping to have a quick paddle on JBs new toys before I hand them over... dont tell him though!

Naish gave the graphics on the deckpad thing a try on their first pad almost 2 seasons ago but the results were a little unfortunate. Much better match this time around.

Biggest problem is 15 knots of onshore wind and about 1/2 a foot of wind chop acting as surf on Sydney's beaches right now. I suppose it was always going to happen when something you've been waiting on for 2 months turns up. Fingers crossed for surf soon.

Wicked deck grip, i can't wait for them to arrive today!

Look sweet. Its interesting how similar the naish 9'3" and the PSH 9'3" ripper are. I think its a sign that the develpoment is starting to narrow down to a particular design. Both look unreal, and should be fantastic boards.

They look different to me, maybe it's just the angle of the Naish but it looks more pointed and sleak. Personally, I'd prefer the Naish for the wood, deckgrip and carry handle option - probably cheaper too.

Looking at the specs of the boards they are similar:

Naish: 9'3" x 29.5" x 4.25"
PSH: 9'3" x 28.4" x 4.25"

Over a inch wider in width on a 9-3 is a huge difference and performance should be what you base your choice on not if it looks more pretty than the other one.

Has anyone ridden both of these yet ? I do like the way the naish pulls in at the nose that would make it more tippy than the PSH thats probably why they increased the width.

I just unwrapped both my boards, glide and 9'3". Oh my, how sweet they look. That 9'3" is so awesome. It has a much lower profile railth an the 9'6", but still carries some width to the tail. I am guessing I will be learning all over at my weight on this board, But as soon as this baby gets on a wave It is going to be game on Donkey Kong! The 9'3" is like nothing in SUP I have ever seen, It is a short board! Some of the short SUP's out there still have pretty conservitive rocker lines, But this thing is scary, It looks like a pro's short board with it's radical rockers and out.line.

Sorry for no pics, But was out side putting pon deck grips and fins in the dark, maybe on the weekend.

I rode two of Rod's boards a few weekends ago and the 9'2 blue ripper with no nose was the fastest and loosest performance sup I have been on so far. So if you are really going to do a comparison of rippers, you really should be including Rod's in there as well.

rod i reckon you need to fill your car up and pay a visit to the goldie and let us test a few of your boards.

Here is Jacko's 9'3 all ready to hit the water! He is out now so expect a review up by tomorrow.

And the Glide was demo'd by some people this morning and it's very nice!!





Got some pics of Stuart putting the glide thru it's paces this morning but i'm having trouble uploading the photo's, i will keep working on it.

Forget the whole windsurfing thing. A performance windsurfing board is under 8ft. A sup just does not cut it. Also if they put mast tracks in sup boards, people would snap them so often that it would be a nightmare for the manufacturers. So its yet to no mast tracks.
