Got back from g-land a couple of weeks ago. Got to sup ulu's one day then went over to g-land for 2 weeks.

We stayed at Bobby's surf camp and can highly recommend it. Stayed in the top end package (superiors),
3 massive great meals, 8 bintangs/day, (accumulating). Great bungalows, air con etc. They put us up in our own bungalows because there weren't many people in the camp.

Here are some pics,

Best surf/sup holiday I've ever had. Took the shortboard didn't get to put the fins in. Had too good a time with the sup.

Great pics Jaime,

Can you give us a bit more info on how SUPing was accepted or otherwise and dramas involved in getting a big board all the way there and back?
Cheers

I see you had a GoPro on your paddle.
Must be some good footage or pics from that.
Keep posting

Edit: Looks bulkier then a GoPro.

its tolerated but you definitely wouldn't go without experience and short boards be very polite and you will get waves when over 6ft and its a tricky wave if all the camps are full its is gets crowded so show respect to the guys who have been going for years well before fast boats.

Hi Yorks,

Show respect, receive respect. Didn't have a problem, only sup out during the 2 weeks.

I was expecting heaps more people out there. I think all three camps full would be a couple of hundred scratching for a wave.

Only about thirty spread out from top of the reef kongs to speedies on the inside, so plenty of waves and very laid back.

Hey Brad,

Went virgin, pro wave sup 8'5 and a shortboard, standard baggage. No extra charge. Just a pain in the arse to lug around. Take your own roof straps.

I packed padding around the rails in the board bag, went and came back no problem.

Absolute no probs sup'n in Bali, ulu's or g- land with the short boarders. As long as you don't try and get all the waves.

Got some good go-pro earlier in the week, got to get round to the edit.

Housing got heaps of moisture that day, that's why it's turned down.

I am just about to go off to a surf camp in Indo and initially i was just going take the sup, but now i thought i would take the short board as well in case it was barrelling,

but i might just get out on the sup regardless,

now i hear you did not even put your fins in your shortboard,

makes me wonder if i should bother taking it !

??
