Meet up with Quinny, Bennett and Cora today for a paddle at Palmy. Small waves but fun all the same. Great to try the Fanatic range (thanks Quinny).

Thanks,
Yes the boards are really nice.
I rode the 9'0" x 29", 9'6" x 30" , 10'0" x 30" and the race 12'6" x 30".
9'0" is awesome, really lively and light. Great tail shape, and super loose. but mostly fast! I was able to get some nice hits today in next to nothing waves. A real performance shortboard made easy.
9'6" is literally a larger version of the 9'6". That tail plan is nearly identical (if not!). Slightly fuller nose for a little more buoyancy. but still really loose off the tail. I would estimate about 10 - 15 more litres max than the 9'0"
The 10'0" was super fun. So ease to ride anywhere on the board. Loved to be nose ridden. but more so just a super user friendly fun machine. I am looking forward to trying the 10'6".
The race 12'6" was fast. I wish we got some video. The entry is so smooth, this board is very fast for 30 wide! in fact very fast (FULL STOP). Fanatic have definitely got the transition right from the K1 style nose into the flat section mid board. It just looks so natural in the water, even with my lard 95kgs on it. No white water or surface breaks at the nose, and the tail sits neatly for a near wakeless release.
Great fun, hope there's some waves tomorrow morning, as I am meeting up with quinny again tomorrow morning (thank you bank holiday).
