You're from the northern beaches and can't work it out ?
The opening still is a dead giveaway.

Thx all,

Yes was at Palmy, just me and the dolphins.

The WAVE LE is a very sweet paddle. It's a lot different to use than you might imagine. It's quite a bit softer than it's friend the RACE LE, more like the stiffness of a Makani. The Kevlar is for extra durability given the stresses and strains we put on our paddles in the surf, and also looks pretty cool. One thing I have noticed is that it is very powerful, easy to get a solid catch quick. I found I can slow down my stroke rate and do less strokes with more power to catch waves, but then for paddling out the small blade allows for a more technical stroke for endurance. I am basically using it and the Makani Vario all the time, my two favorite paddles.

Enjoy,

JB
