I do believe this coming Sunday is Father's day and I am concerned that our wives may be forced to consider actually ordering or buying a board for us. Is this part of the plan ?. If so, it's a very good one. Hopefully you have the 9'6 Prowave to look at and try out. See you Sunday at 9.01

You will have to walk over to the shop. Cos' I reckon that's where they will both be working their asses off after globetrotting again.

just had a quick paddle on the 14x 27.25 which i feel would be the board a lot of paddlers should get imo. goes very nice. balanced and stable with a user friendly platform. what i was interested in was how stable the board would be stepping back like you would dw ing. the tail is narrow but kind of late so there is plenty of platform to work with- well as far back as you are going to need.

paddling fast then stepping back was really good. no noticeable change in stablity. to me thats a nice feature to have out in the ocean. makes a difference on the rougher bumpy days

good speed in the flats for what is really a dw board so that's a added bonus.

i like it and well worth a serious look at for a 14 ' dw/all rounder. nice price for a full carbon board too.

disc- no connection with fanatic. i just like any good boards

Thanks for the feed back from someone who has had just a couple of boards just asking are they full carbon because the price is good for that type of money do they need to be full carbon ?

Now that's full carbon but you do pay for that

don't know whether they are full carbon, but jacko's and angies boards had flight cargo damage coming back from a os trip and any where there was a ding it was carbon-top and bottom.

it kinda interesting dc guys have dig when i'm not talking about boards other then a dc.

as i stated i'm not getting a fanatic. happy with my dc 15'6,dc 8'8 and gl boards.

as i stated if i like a board i like it regardless of brand.

i'm board idiot so there's nothing to worry about

I agree Lacey. The only time I am tied to a board is when I put my leggie on!

I reckon its great to be able to paddle a lot of boards that you usually wouldn't get to try until you've paid for them. I can see a lot of sales coming through from these demo days and other manufacturers should cotton on and do the same. I took my partner and brother and both will probably buy fanatics purely cos they found what suits them best. Hard to really feel how a board goes when its sitting in the shop. Plenty of boards, plenty of people, stoked I went!

Tommy, I have recently been to Fanatic, Naish and Coreban demo days.
I am in the market for a 14' er and like you I found the experience very good. It has allowed me to work out which board I am going to buy.
Didn't do the Gold Coast demo, was lucky enough to do the Noosa demo day and was able to have a couple of paddles on the boards I was considering.
Well done all.
