What looked like pretty average conditions didn't deter 8 starters from having a crack at the Sunday Arvo Port Beach to Swannie ( or Dutchies in this case) down winder. Boards ranging from a DC 17, 2 x Fanatic 12'6, Starboard 14, 2 x Amundson 12'6, 71 12'6, and even a Supluv for good measure. The W/SW wind direction was countered to some degree, by an initial 2k paddle West, and then re-group before heading to the finish at Dutchies. Some great runs were had by all, and in the spirit of the arvo, boards were exchanged mid race by some, and Galvo kept an eye on the tailenders to ensure a happy ending by all. No results were recorded as participation was the main aim. Excuse of the day came from Stimo on the longest board of the day - "I'm sure my rudder was stuck hard to port- I kept having to jump in to check ". A big thanks to Brony, Lucy and Anna for helping with the cars, and yes, Galvo did stump up the ice cold bevies on the lawn at Dutchies !!
A unanimous 'Thumbs Up' for the arvo, so the plan is to have another go next Sunday. Give Galvo a call for details.
