Crazy wind downwinder.

It was crazy wind in Melbourne yesterday.. Not only was it gusting well over 50 knots the direction was so so wrong with way to much off-shore in it causing us to keep close to land to stay safe.. Unfortunately staying close to land in an off-shore wind keeps you in flat-ish water and away from the big waves.. Trying to carry your board in such strong wind can sometimes be the hardest part.

Wholly carp - what happened to your board? Much damage?

Looked like you were windsurfing half the time with the world's smallest sail. Seriously windy!

Ooh..those rocks/reefs lookin really close & how's the board after that flight?

Crazy wind, hope the board is ok can't believe how many times it flipped in mid air!

We had wind to in Queensland. But too cold as only 21degrees

Good work again getting out there....

Not just sandy.. Soft and sticky muddy conditions.. Hard to run fast in but perfect for stopping a tumbling board and preventing any damage.. Yes.. very, very lucky.
