Hey Sharpie,
Was great to meet you at Port Mac, loving your work on the Wopper in those conditions it was all time.
That left is down your way it was pretty sucky and a more vertical drop than Kristi was comfortable with but heaps of fun. Kristi just picked off the ones the other guys didnt want.
I dont think she would have even paddled out there before going to the Aussies, amazing what a little confidence and different experience will do.
They all were going to get cleaned up by a set wave, the shorty duck dived and Kristi paddled for the lip to go over and just made it.
It was funny watching the shorty come up out of the duck dive expecting to see Kristi wollowing in the white water after getting hammered, instead she was casually paddling back to the line up. He just had a huge smile on his face , gave her a nod and they both paddled back out.
Guy the short boarder and the Nelo put on a display carving into everything in sight and Kristi learned to take some steeper drops on her back hand and actually made about 6 waves pretty clean.
Shorty, Nelo, SUP and Longboarder all sharing a peak staying in rotation and having a ball, who would have thought it was possible.
Should be more of it.
Phill
