Mate head north about 2 hours to Kaikoura.

Mangamanu is a long right hand point that would be awesone for SUP - cranks on a good south swell.

Also plenty of good spots around Banks Peninsula.

If you're just staying in town the Brighton Pier and Sumner Beach get plenty of longboard action.

Steer clear of Taylors Mistake - its a small break and gets really crowded - no good for SUP

I'm staying around Summer beach area so looks as tho I won't have to go very far to get some action.

Hey Elbeau, I think they need a bit more nose rocker, niece cheap paddles tho.

The paddles appear to be a bit long.
It reminds me of the old saying, "Young man punts, are not for kissing in"
I had forgotten about kaikoura, well worth the drive up.



Still recommend going to Taylors though if only for the view
