Well , the Grey Bearded one has come early to NQ,
After nearly 2 years on a 12 surftech and reading numerous posts on smaller boards and performance, Brands ( thanks Seabreezers) , i have purchased a new stick. I opted to go shorter as have others to improve SURF performance, and to DO IT with a Aussie shaper.
Thanks must go to Scott at Greenline. HE gave me exceptional service in sending it North even though i didnot purchase it from his shop. The world would be a Much better place if everyone in this place equaled his Values.
Cheers to Chris for producing the BOMB. Man he must have got sick of me ringing , talking Mince re numbers and stuff.

SHE is 10 4 x 4 x 30
Double 6 oz top Bottom, no pad
Medium EPS

Quick Board review
I am 105 kg 6 3
I have only been out in crap on shore condidtions

Feet are wet all the time
Paddles easily, Stability is similar to other shorter boards i have ridden, thats with thruster set up, quad setup = bit tippier.
Trim area is small but easily to locate when i first took it out.
Turns and drives of the bottom unbelievable.
Cant wait to Poach a couple of the southern crew over the new year

Mick

Chris is a true gentleman. In many years of dealing directly with surfboard manufacturers Chris (along with Dick Van Straalen) is one guy I would always leave time in the schedule to talk should he have time and want to.

Do you ever get the feeling from people after you speak to them that they have literally sucked the life force from your body?

I always left Chris' bay feeling smarter than I came, he is the polar opposite to the soul sucker as above.

Go Phantom!

Hey Phil,
Yeh but i cant comment to much about anything, we have had onshore sailboarding weather for the last couple of weeks, though, i have had around 7 hours on her in crud conditions.
I am surprised how stable the board is. The best day we have lately was 3 ft onshore, and i took a couple of larger mush waves . Man the board just got up and boogied quickly and i was able to drive of the bottom hard and smash the lip easily. Cant wait to get her in some Juice on the Island.

Miko ,i get excited just looking at your new baby. She should surf shorter than the normal 10-4 with a full nose and tail, because of the pulled in nose and flyer. When you get her wet lets here how she went.God,i just love a new board.

Very nice board,
I have had boards from Chris every since I arrived on the Goldy 13 years ago and haven't yet had a SUP from him but would trust him 100% on shaping the right board for you. Chris is a real thinker and loves to talk design and honestly wants you to enjoy what he creates. About time there was a Posting with his name on it.

John

you are so right

I think the exciting prospect with a new board is the ability to get personnel with a guy thats going to create something for you. You go through all the pre work dialogue, excitement builds da da da and then bam you got it, feel like little kid again drooling with anticapation of the ride. Anyway sorry for the ramble.
Chris was this for me and he has come up with what looks like a screamer.

I was surprised you didn't pick it up yourself and test drive on the Goldie for the weekend. But, it is a fair way to travel when you have to back it up again shortly. Nice looking board. I have been thinking of down sizing a lot lately. I won't be far behind you in the New Year. Catch up on the Island soon and you can tell me all about the board.

Hey Adam , originally, that was the going to happen, any spare time has been spent completing the Camper trailer project, nearly running out of time, but done just in time . Anything left over has been paddling and fishing, heres one we caught Monday.
