Yeah thats why I posted it. For a brand new sport tech, thats a bloody bargain!!!
Where can you buy a brand new wood board for $999? If I had the coin I'd buy it just because

From our experience of riding the 12.2 we have found these boards to be quite specific in their range of use – due to their narrow width they have amazing glide in flat water. However in surf or chop OR for Novices these boards are not ideal. You can ride a wave but they are a little tricky to trim and being a lot less than 30 inches wide they are not suitable to deliver a positive experience to a newbie more than 75 kgs.

What the 12.2 does excel in is flat water cruising – it is currently the fastest paddle board in the range for straight out paddling speed (due to its low rocker and narrow width). If we were in a point to point race this is the board we would be fighting over.

Here is a link to a video of Giampaulo surfing the 12'2" on Maui. I rented this board from him for a couple of weeks last year and learnt to SUP on it. It was pretty narrow to learn on but fine in the end and fantastic to sail and surf on. It was a Starboard photo shoot proto and has since been totalled, he was really upset because it was such a nice board. If you are prepared to deal with it being a little tippy it is really a great board for surfing.

While we're at it..There's this one on the 25" NSP..Some people make these narrow boards look easy.

btw..That first vid of Giampaulo is one of my favorite SUP vids..and Jack Johnson is perfect music for it.

hey guys, trust me in saying they are diffinately not makeing money out of this one, they would be loosing at least a few hundred bucks, its a bargin for sure, i was riding the same board on saturday, well not the exact same board, takes a bit to get used to with it only being 26 inches wide, but once your on the wave it's not too bad, doing a u-turn out the back was definately a challenge, great for the flat stuff though..

I'd have to agree that they would be loosing $ on this one.

My guess is with the cost of fuel and oil world wide going crazy, everything can only get more expensive for us all.

Certinaly won't stop me from having fun and buying new toys.
