you have to feel good about using one of these when you think of the energy that is going into making a carbon paddle.
would i swap one for my quickblade ? no i don't think so.
would i swap one for my fanatic 80% ? i think so.
That paddle that Riverider is testing is the lightest and shortest and softest
that I've built .. looks even shorter perched up ontop of that race board.
Because the bamboo shaft material comes in a mix of diameters and is slightly tapered and overlength; the shafts can be selected and trimmed to suit any degree of stiffness.
The blades come in three different builds of stiffness/weight.
The paddle comes as a one-piece unit because the splicing of the shaft to blade
is a hand crafted fit from warying diamerer shafts.
Havn't broken any yet .. it will happen .. there are a few out there now and
the team riders take no prisoners, so to speak.
