Are there people here that have any experience with using a suction cup for an action cam on a sup. Would like to use one on my SB sprint but not shore if it will leave a dents or other damage...
Cheers,
Charlie
have got one of the 3 sucker ones........they not going to hang on hard enough to damage board.......but like they say in this stand up zone thread.......a float is probably essential in case it comes loosewww.standupzone.com/forum/index.php?topic=4410.0
Thanks for the link! I have no experience with using a camera on my sup so I can use tips like these. My main concern is that it could leave some sort of hump because of the suction as the outside layer of these boards is very thin...
Cheers,
Charlie
What camera do you have? The go pro mounts have a surf board mou which is 2 sticky pads.
I have 2 stickey pads but don't like to stick them on the board. I would prefer the suction cup because you can use it from different angels.
I've been using one of these for about 21/2 years pretty much daily.

Standard camera thread, I've got one of these

on top of it for levelling and quick release.
I have the camera tied on independently to a leggie point or Stic It loop.
Suction pad has only let go once.Looking a bit corroded but still working.
No sign of damage to boards.
Yip I have a tri suction cup..they are great..don't damage board , haven't had mine dislodged at all and saves having a permanent mount on

Put a sticker down first, on a flatter part of the deck. The suction cups don't stick for long on the matte finish of a Starboard.
