bit late
got the photo taken on monday but didnt see the pic which was on the front page of the local paper till late friday when a mate told me and the winners had already been announced on seabreeze

the pic was advertising the Venetian Carnival which is apart of Grafton's Jacaranda Festival showcasing local talent such as rock bands, bellydancing etc as well as some water sports such as water skiing and i was asked to do a demo on stand up paddling
ended up being a great night and was a great promotion for my surfing and sup school that i've just started up in the area
got a group of mates to paddle around demonstrating some rodeo freestyle moves and had a quick 50m sprint race
i didnt win but i knocked a few mates off there boards ..lol...
the crowd loved it
ended up getting around 50 people to have a quick go on my boards after the demo
and the night ended with a massive fireworks display off a barge in the middle of the river
and me and a few mates paddled around as the sky and water light up like bagdad in the first few days of the invasion of iraq
hard to see us
I was really looking forward to owning a new Starboard 9'0" (or maybe a 9'8").
