The last round of the British Stand Up paddle champs held at Watergate Bay... Not bad waves... the swell got bigger and bigger throughout the day.

Great bunch of guys, these guys are really surfing well, and SUP is really popular in the UK.

On ya Gareth, ripping it up on the Laguna and flying the flag for Oz! Great to see the poms getting into it, they look very organised as well. Is this run as part of the normal prone surfing events?

Very organised Goatman, they run 4 BSUPA ( British Stand Up Association) events throughout the year, plus incporporate one SUP event with the British Champs, which includes all categories including short board, masters, etc. The BSUPA events comprise of a distance race and surf comp.

They have been SUPing for many years, and I would say started before the Aussies, although there numbers of SUP surfers in Australia would be bigger now.

The British know how to organise an event, and they go ahead no matter what the weather conditions, otherwise they wouldnt ever get out of BED.

Great bunch of guys, very welcoming to a blow in.
