cheers guys, 2nd time there, and just the 2 of us this time, so plenty waves... it is an awesome trip, although a little difficult to get to, and very no frills. guess thats part of the appeal tho...
photog was the guy who runs the Losman, third time he's done it apparently, so bit of a natural talent with the camera and a top guy to boot!! We were pretty stoked with the results.
check out the bonosurf site if your interested, i will be going back
ps- not affiliated in any way (and neither is Jankie who came with me), we both paid normal tote...

The Bono is tidal river bore wave on the Kampar river in Sumatra.
It happen at every big tide either new moon or full moon.
The base for the exploration is at the small village of Teluk Meranti, 6 hours drive from the city of Pekanbaru.
If you want more infos as T wrote just make a google search.
Bye Jankie

A tidal cycle last between 4 to 6 days.
In one day you get to surf 5 - 7 sections on the river with at least more then 1 hour of riding.
Each section offer about 10 to 20 minutes ride (if you don't fall off!).
