Looking for some soft-racks for use on friend/relative's or hired car on holidays.

Need something that won't damage friend/relative's car at all.

Anyone tried these?

Used soft racks before in Hawaii they trashed the roof. Now I just leave the board in a bag and strap around the roof. Bit awkward for the driver if the strap in the wrong spot but no damage to the car.

Soft racks push in on a specific point and are hard to get tight so the board moves around.

I had some squid ones that were great but they do leave marks on the roof, they are only from pressure and can be polished off without too much hassle.
I had them up to 150kph and they didnt move with three boards!!

Got these from supercheap auto, they can leave slight marks on the roof and damage the door rubber if your not careful.

I've used the FCS ones, they didn't mark the car at all, I found the secret is to get them as tight as possible then wedge a rag or something between the strap and the car near the door. Stops the strap rubbing and any noise.

Also twist the straps so they dont hummmmmmmmmmmmm

Handirack inflatable racks, awesome, so much better than FCS imo. Never had an issue with any marking whatsoever on rental cars, one day had F18, F16, and Foote Maliko 14 stacked up on a little hatchback. With big boards the trick it to put the board on fin up fin forward and tie the leg rope attachment to the front of the car with a rope or strap.
