Hey guys, Dez who run's blast paddlers is a good mate or mine and got behind the recent paddle for pete in a major way.
He runs time trails at various spots on a regular weekend basis, and we have been chatting about the inclusion of SUP into his events. He is keen as mustard to get the SUP crew there.
This weekend there will be a big one at the following. I cant paddle in it this weekend, due to grommets, but will be down there.
Event: 76th Balmoral Blast
Date: Saturday 7th August, 2010
Entry Fee: $10 per craft
Registration: 6:30 am - 6:55 am
Briefing: 6:55 am
Race Start: 7:00 am sharp!
Race Close: 8:30 am
Location: Southern end of Balmoral beach at the far East end of the car park
Course: 10km race - Fairlight Chinamans Circuit (conditions permitting)
Format: Time trial - run to Blast handicaps
lets get behind all these events...Looking forward to the day where there are more SUP's at these events than ski's :) ha
Good excuse for a paddle so will try. Will have to negoiate hard for that and SPSC on Sunday.
Rose is working (ahhhh) otherwise she would be keen. Hopefully she can make the next one so please keep us posted. Thanks Pete.

Do they plan to bring the Blast paddlers to QLD?
