As a retro fit deck grip you can't beat the OAM (on a mission). Production grip that comes on the board the new JP is amazing , when you first start to use it almost hurts your feet. The difference is that is moulded and not cut so it last and doesn't draw in water so they stay super light. Pretty sure Fanatic is the same.
With the cut or routed deck grips they are not sealed like the moulded ones , so that's why your board sinks when you pull it out of it's cover even if you have wiped the board down.

The new Corebans wear really fast same as the early McTavish and you will need to wax them.
The attached pic is one of a grips I did over 5 years ago. Back then no boards came with grips , it takes time to do it but it saves weight and helps drain the water from the deck , a bit hard on your guts but your feet stick like sh!t to blanket , plus it's made from scraps. It's still as good as the day I did it , just had to replace a triangle here and there.
