I rented one for two weeks in maui, amazingly good fun to sail and paddles fast but a little challenging for balance at first - she's pretty skinny! The thing gybes really tight if you step right back, the photo was taken last year in a good breeze, must have been thirty knots to get us both planing with a 4.2m sail.

I have spent some time on the 12'2

the 12'2 is the point to point board to have in the starboard range as its narrow width a clever rocker fangs in zen hypnotised flat water paddling mode - it may even give the specialised point to point 14 - 16 fters a run for their money.

she's a little harder to surf than the other boards in the range due to the 27 inches (ish width)

apparently that same slippery rocker windsurfs really well as it just slides up onto the plane super easy!

i believe the 12'2 can be had for an AMAZING price in Australia at the moment - check your local Starboard dealer for more info..
