just back from a holiday in Bali for a few weeks and surfed (SUP) at some awesome places , impossibles,dreamland , balian , medewi, legian got a few shots from medewi one day thought I would share the stoke .... Happy days!!!

Great work DTM, we're heading over to Medewi in a couple of weeks - can't wait to get in to some waves and warm water !! Any good eateries to recommend up that way??

Mate you have a ball I only spent 5 days up that way I stayed at balian about 3o mins from medewi and only spent one day surfing medewi so didn't really eat there but if you head down to balian which I would recommend as its the better wave and less crowded and normally a few feet bigger than medewi eat at deckies warung which is great cheap and right above the break also toms cafe across the road is great too .... Oh and get out there early as the wind comes up about 11am .... Also watch the inside pop up rocks at medewi on low tide I had a few close calls

You will love it CS, I just got back this morning and not enjoying this cold wet weather.
Hardly got any photo's and mainly surfed at other less crowded locations that I haven't got any photo's of but headed up to Medewi a couple of times.







Had an interesting day one day where it was starting to get a bit big for the location, 2 snapped leggies and 2 big swim in's within about an hour or so, some nice big rights made it worthwhile though.

Probably wouldn't interest many of the SUP crew but got some good kites in too.

Cool pics I'm surprised I didn't see you there just back myself .... Yeah I thought balian would have been an epic kite spot once the wind came up ... Pity I can't kite myself

Thanks DTM and Tighty for your advice. We did Balian at the same time last year ( which was great) but the onshores were a bugger - messing things up from 7- 8 am every day. We did a day trip to Medewi and scored, so back to Medewi this year to explore some more. We're not kiters, so the Binny's are our onshore saviour !! I'll let you know how we go. Tighty, I might give you a call to see if I can wrestle a few secret spots out of you !! Cheers, and thanks for sharing your experiences.
