When I first read about the C Drive fins, I was very sceptical that they may be a gimmick. www.cdrivefins.com/fin-design/

Curiosity got the better of me, so I bought a set. When I put them in my 10-2 Jimmy Lewis Mano, the fin looked ridiculously small. I went out this morning, and I gave myself 30 minutes before I would switch them back.

After a 3 hour session using them, I was absolutely blown away with this fin setup. I had heaps of drive, but the board was loose, especially off the top of the wave. At the same time my down the line speed felt a heap quicker.

When ever I tried new set ups I gained drive, but stiffened the board up. Or I made the board too loose, and lost drive and acceleration. The C-drives have both drive and are loose, which really blew me away.

I have future plugs for my side fins, so I could not use the full thrusters set. If anyone has a way to adapt the FCS fins to a future box, please PM me as I am very keen to run the full all three in my board.


If you get the chance, definatly give these fins a go!!!

I now have the full thruster set of C-Drives in the board.

Looking forward to giving them a run is some decent surf in VIC! I will let you know how they go.

I also have the Mano 10'2'' and have found bigger front fins and a smaller back fin works well on it but I would be interested to buy a set of these to see how they went. On the c-drive web page there are different sizes. Which size did you order? And how did you resolve the futures base issue?
