Currumbin creek has knee high swells.

Starting tp clear up here Mac. Blue sky to the north, rain is easing and the wind is moderating. Still over 30 knots though.
Hope all are safe down south. No paddling though.

Tried yesterday but when the winds hit 60 knots they cancelled the ferrys!! So we had a nice 3 hour drive instead.

Some dude was out kiting at Currumbin 20 mins ago. Not sure I'd want to be in that creek water at the moment!

You would have to mad, wind gusts are stiil ferocious let alone the dodgy water!
Just went down to Burleigh, a lot of carnage along the beach front.

Miami hotel at North Burleigh apparently is being evacuated as just lost its roof, still some left in this storm front, thought it would be gone by now

Hope all you Breezers down there are staying safe.Here is some good news from the Sunshine Coast.
The rain and winds are easing all the time. Probably down to 20 knots now and only scattered showers. There is an occasional glimpse of sun.
Everything is moving south so hopefully you guys will have some relief soon.

first picture is suttons beach redcliffe usually around 100m of sand to the ocean from the boardwalk,
second picture is queens beach scarborough.
BIG WET ate up Moreton bays beaches for breakfast this morning...
