You have several times mentioned the cost of buying SUPs in NZ being a limiting factor in buy a SUP and trading on.
Do you have access to a local shaper? You should be able to get a decent custom SUP shaped for much less than the cost of a commercial production model. You can ride it to death then replace it in 2-3 years and still be ahead.
