Did you take your own board over Windy or are you hiring one?
I'm heading over in a week and a halfs time and still unsure what to do board wise

The Mano 9'9 maybe or possibly the shortboard (if I can remember how)
Would like to know how Windy got on though.

Your 9'9" might be ok depending on who you are flying with. Air Aisa and Virgin
should be ok with the limit being 3m (last time I checked).

Flew AirAsia in February with a 10' Icon and 9'5 Mana. No worries taking those boards with them. $20 per board to Bali and $16 Per board to Australia - paddles didn't cost anything extra.
Definately nice having your own boards over there!!

I am very keen to know where in Bali every one goes to?

Where's the SUP friendly spots and places to stay?

Cheers

Stayed at Sanur and had uncrowded (mostly only 2 of us out) condidtions the whole time - even with a few days of big swells. Met up with Jankie form kitesurf bali on the Sanur side of the island.
On the Kuta/Legian side I think SupBali is over there, but I've only shortboarded that side.
Send either of them an email though, and I'm sure they'll give you some details.

Used Jetstar so hired a jl Mano 9'9 off jenkie. He delivered the board to my pad too, thanks jenkie. Staying at seminyak, great beaches here at low tide. Was up the coast a few kms. Saw some carbon sbs there ripping it up!!! (maybe Pete) Tomorrow morning looking good

PS. Air Asia charge 25 AUS$ from Perth or Singapore and 230.000 rp from Bali.
One board bag max 20 kilos.
You CAN'T book the sport equipment on-line, has to be paid at the airport.
If you have extra kilos not used they do not count against your Sport Equipment.
So don't buy extra weight allowance on the Air Asia web site as it doesn't work!
I did that mistake once.
Bye Jankie

Been back since the 14th May ... you have months of depression to look forward too. The only cure is to book next years visit. Bring on July 2012.
