Be careful out there in the open ocean though. Heading off shore is more dangerous that it first looks. Lots can wrong, the wind can change, it is easier than you think to become permanently separated from your board....
I've seen some footage of an OC6 on a big open ocean swell runner in Hawaii... When you see that, you realise that SUP's are just different to an OC6.... And at the moment, DW SUP's are too much hard work in really big and really bumpy conditions. Top Heavy....
