Very nice! That looks like a fun downwinder! Some nice long runners in there.

For no sensible reason of any kind, looking at the Fat Larry tyres ... I want them. I don't know what I would do with them. I certainly don't need them. But I feel the need to have them.

Doing wheelies on the beach.. Riding snow trails or soft sand.. or just cruising along and rolling over every little bump without feeling a thing..

I am still averse to watching Go Pro pointed at the rider from the front.

So much better for me to see it as if I were the paddler. Looking over your shoulder or from the back from the side and up a bit is so much better IMHO. You can see what is going on, visualize yourself in the conditions.

I love your DW vids DJ but the looking out ones for me are better.

Not to mention the bonus feature of staring at DJ's arse while listening to prog rock music!

DJ,
Nice angle. I've just started to use my GoPro and have only filmed one downwinder so far.

Could you show us a shot of your GoPro set up. The more camera angles the better.

Hopefully if it's not too strong I'm going to try and film the race at Port Stephens this weekend as there's talk of it being downwind.

I preferred the new camera angle. It was less boring than looking at the back of everything. You can't actually see a wave or the glide from the back. Best top break it up with shots from two DWers so you can have front and back views.

wide tyres roll better than narrow ones (I think?)

Awesome I can't wait for the full length version. I'll never watch one of those boring videos with surfboards and waves ever again. You rock.
