doesn't capture how crowded it was out there that day either... First time I have seen myself on vid though

thats great thanks mate
so how big was it exactly?
i know the swell was on just haven't surfed the alley and dying too
Yeh, It was crowded. Don't often see that many SBers on the wide bank, a bit of dodging involved, surfers and boats. Magic day, full waves, some overhead. The point was going off, nearly stand up barrells.
Hey Sugar nice effort with the vid. Cool aspects and the boat coming out is a blast.
I reckon you took too many waves you need to share more.![]()
I remember asking you how the footage worked with the camera mounted there that morning - the video answered that - really nice work mate with some good camera angles.
As far as the wave size - good head high if not overhead + that morning. The last one I caught went all the way in to the beach at Lacey's - past about 20 shortboarders at about 3 separate breaks.
Funny though - I went back out that afternoon and the waves were even bigger - well kind of huge - and there were hardly any surfers out. mind you the wind was blowing a bit and it was an effort just to paddle out let alone getting pounded by the whitewater!!
Hey Mick, plenty of waves too go around. I was out for 3 hours, had to turn the gopro off after an hour because of fogging. Wait 5-10min then back on. That's the beauty of having it on the paddle where you can reach it easily. Less editing to do, turn on before the wave and then off when finished. Wave count was good
. Heard Drewster has already booked Straddie, 2nd to the 13th Jan., he's keen.
Hey really enjoyed that video. Cool song and editing. Makes me keen to get the camera out again. Haven't had it out for a while.
Don't mean to hijack your thread but here is another video with the paddle cam view. Made this one a while ago. Enjoy![]()
