I paddled with Kristi, Kev and Simon today and our planed down-winder turned into a no-winder.. but it was still a great paddle.

Here's Kristi on her nice new 14' C4 Vortice.

Kev working harder to keep up on his big old Kalama.

Phil and the crew at Pt Henry.

I took the C4 for a spin.. It was very nice.

I also got to check out Phil's new Mambomobile..

Hey Dj was great to catch up its been way way too long.

DJ hope to get up to Melbourne one weekend soon for a paddle with you on the bay.

Simon I am working on the reverse mohawk and bling as the van is white not black.

BP back is improving but I wont be paddling this year. It did take a bit to get the paddle back off me.

Give it a flat deck and a flat bottom.. More nose rocker.. A pointy nose and a square tail.. and it would be as good as the 14' Glide..

I'm looing forward to trying it in real DW conditions one day.. That will be the real test.. .. Jeez it's light..

Hey Boylos, I remember you having a few spills on yours that day we took off in Bate Bay but my god, on the way back you absolutely left us all for dead !!

So, tippy yes they are BUT a speed machine for sure.

How'd you go on it DJ - a couple spills ? When I rode Boylos' I was afraid to turn it and gently plodded around in a big circle to stay upright - LOL.

That's V1.. The V2 is the new SIC..

I see they made the tail a bit wider like the Naish 14.. and is that a slightly pointier nose with a bit more rocker?.. and they've even added some yellow.. ..

Hey BP,

I didnt take any offense and Kristi thought your comment was funny so all good really. We both green thumbed you.

The injury is coming along well, just need to ensure I dont push to far too quickly as the hard part is over.

Craig,
Kristi said thanks for your emails and ideas on the vortice really appreciate your help, you have made the learning curve easier. Long way to go to really understand the board but we have plenty of time.

Hey Mac,
I agree white is the new black but red always goes faster

SA the fin in the Vortice has quite a long rake more of a surf fin as it was what we had kicking around, its also quite flexi compared to the fin that comes with the board. This may make it a little more forgiving.

Kristi is having heaps of fun thats all that matters.

See you in the soup.

Phill

Thanks Simon.. That's confusing with the new F16 being a V2 also..

Any more pics of this new board.. and are there any shops down here (Vic) selling them?
