My youngest (of 4) is 11 but tiny and has been riding shorties for a few years but has never really gone nuts on it - prefers his Soccer and AFL which he is a freak at![]()
Anyways I got him a soft top of Walk on Water last year cause he kept nagging me about SUP. Then he started using my Green DTM and that was it - totally hooked. Went in our last club comp and is now frothing on SUP.
I heard Sam at WindSurfinSnow had an 8'0" Naish going second hand, so popped in and had a demo. He loved it and thanks to Sam giving us a killer deal to get the grommet into it - massive thanks Sam - we now have a 6th SUP in the garage![]()
Here is some footage from the 1st week of the hols - check out the paddling technique over whitewater - too funny.
Since this session we have had about 10 more surfs - a couple in solid 4-5 foot reef breaks - which is 2 x time plus OH for the little bloke
no footage of that as I have to be out there with him at that size.
Hey Goatie, very cool. You've taught him the basics very well, paddles thru waves like a pro, kick turns, fades left ,and magic pullouts at the end of his rides. No red thumbs here
obviously a charger in the mould of the old man![]()
gee i don't know goatie. the one good thing about sup ping is no pesky groms showing us up.
now look what you've done![]()

Thanks Goaty. Now my boy wants a Naish 8.0. Hey Casso, can feel a grom division at next club event coming on...
Hey Goatie,
Awesome stuff Robbie is rippin, he certainly puts in the big ones to get on and patent Goatie flick of the back at the end.
Nothing beats being on the water with the kids, soak it up while you can.

Thats awesome watching grommies getting amongst it - hard to convince my 9y old that is more fun than computer games during the coldest winter in SA's history - roll on summer
Keep the vids coming
