Both about the same weight, 7kg, one 25" the other 28" the grey one has 30mm rocker, the other flat.

Boath have displacement bows, one more finer than the other.

The planing stern

& The dispacement stern

What board do you think will be faster?
(too windy today for proper trial)

Hi Dean.. My guess is that they're both about the same speed.. I think it will take a longer distance to work it out.

Did you fit your speedo thingie to them to check top speed?.. Im guessing the pintail is faster on that flat water??

love the bow on the grey one. I imagine the narrower one would be quicker but they both look fast.
I would like to come and see you and paddle some of these creations some time, thanks. Will you be coming up for the port phillip cup day?

Hey Dean.. I think you need a sharper edge on the rail on that planing tail board.. Sharp as you can make it for about the last third of the board... IMO

Yeah...If the weather looks appropriate for this type of board we should be there.

I need to make a third 12'6 so we all have one....any sugestions what design I should make?

well done LSD on your latest creations

so the question is WHAT NEXT

i recon go a combo of the last 2 boards with the extreme narrow entry and narrow pinned out exit just to be able to compare the 3 and roll on from there

by the way nice work

i would like the grey one with the straighter displacement bow of the the white one and the recessed deck of the 14' with rocker for ocean d/wers. would probably have to be wider and more volume. it would be a seriously fast board if you can stay on it
cheers
