Sorry if this has been done to death. But.. have noticed these things in some SUP,s how is this plastic screw thread ferral thingy to be used or operate?

Most of the time just screw it in and leave it there, check it periodically to ensure the o-ring hasn't perished all will be ok.

The only change to that is if you regularly have your board in a very hot environment during summer, then you may want to release screw to allow the board to breath. Or if you take your board on a plane or anywhere that dramatic air pressure difference may exist.

Bear in mind that every time you take the screw out you increase your chance of going out next time without it in there, and that is very bad. It takes about 10 times as much work to get water out of a board as it does to get it in there, often you can never get them totally dry.
