Hi again, now i finally got my board i like to know what the best way is to prepare your board for a trip an a airplane! Bubblewrap? Isolation? Help me out here as i like my new naish x32 to arrive on destination in one piece! Thx

Buy some pool noodles.. Cut them down the centre (make two halves) and tape them along the rails (on the outside of the bag) and even have them covering top and bottom if you can.. You need.. Lots of noodles.. Lots of tape.. and lots of luck..

You can try buying the plastic foam that they make covers out of and wrapping them up in that, too. Adds an extra 4-5mm of padding. Comes in massive rolls about 1500/1800mm wide. Get it from the Speke who make covers, if there is someone in your area. I did it for all our boards for a big trip last year, saved them for this years trip too.

I used those interlocking mats with holes in them. They're about 600mm sq. 15mm rubber different colours for the fashion conscious .

Got them from that large hardware chain.

Cut them in half and laid them over the rails and both ends of the sup and slid into the board cover, worked a treat.

Ended up using the mats overseas as a yoga mat as they join up again.

Didn't add much weight, got over to indo and java and back. No damage.
